District process of reporting positive COVID case
- Call and email to NM Public Education Department (PED) COVID Rapid Response Hotline with info on person that tested positive
- Call and email to NM Environmental Department, Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) with info on person that tested positive
- Compile list of people who had close contact with the employee that tested positive for COVID
- Human Resource sends blind copy email to people who were in close contact to inform them of COVID exposure and request that they go into self-quarantine for 14 days
- Human Resource sends an email to all staff notifying them that a new positive COVID case has been reported in the District. No information is given about who the person is to protect the employee's privacy.

- The COVID Response Team consists of the Acting Superintendent Randy Stickney ([email protected]), Director of Health Services Austin Clawson ([email protected]), and Director of Human Resources Chau Ly ([email protected]). These three individuals are the official reporters of COVID cases for ZPSD. If you have questions about COVID, please contact anyone on this team.
